I’m Jeff Kavanaugh, Vice President and Executive Editor for the Infosys Knowledge Institute, the research and thought leadership arm of Infosys, a $12B technology and consulting firm.
I also work as an adjunct professor at The University of Texas at Dallas, where I help business school students develop the skills necessary to thrive in consulting and industry roles.
I’m a part-time farmer, history buff, and tennis player. But my real passion is thought leadership and a consultative approach to solving problems.
Over the years, I’ve worked with dozens of companies to improve their competitiveness and drive growth, with hundreds of consultants to help them develop their consulting careers.
Are you interested in a consulting career? If you have quick intelligence, intellectual curiosity, high energy, and are comfortable with ambiguity, I would like to hear from you.
Regardless of whether you join my firm or any other, mastering these skills can provide you a competitive advantage in whatever you choose to do.
About This Blog
Every fall, another recruiting season begins. I travel to top college campuses around the country and speak to young aspiring consultants. Most are smart, have good grades, and often even relevant internship experience – but they want to know more, how to start strong, accelerate their careers, and make an impact faster than those around them.
I have trained thousands of consultants over my career, and more each year, but can only reach a fraction of the young professionals I meet, not to mention the tens of thousands more who are earnestly looking for how to improve – how to get that edge in their careers and life.
JeffKavanaugh.net exists to share with you the same lessons I teach to up-and-coming consultants through my work every day. It contains the ideas, tools, and insights that consultants need to learn the skills necessary to thrive in their work. Regardless of whether you go into consulting, work in industry, or even non-profit organizations, these practical and time-tested ideas can help you accomplish more, faster, and achieve your goals.
